WP Price Updater Terms of Service #

1. Introduction #

Welcome to WP Price Updater (“the App”).
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the App, including access via our web application, APIs, and integrations with Google and Shopify.

By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the service.

About the App.
WP Price Updater connects Shopify stores with Google Sheets to automate and manage product price and variant updates.

2. Description of Service #

The App allows merchants to:

  • Export Shopify product data into a Google Sheet,
  • Modify or import prices and inventory data,
  • Synchronize those updates back to Shopify.

The App operates only with your explicit authorization through Google OAuth 2.0 and Shopify API connections.

3. Google API Services and User Data #

To provide its core functionality, the App integrates with Google APIs using OAuth 2.0 authorization.
The following scopes may be requested:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file Create, read, and update spreadsheets that you own or that were created through the App. Used for reading and writing Shopify product data. Read/Write
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets.readonly Read data from spreadsheets shared by third parties (e.g., ERP or supplier systems). Read-only
openid, email, profile Identify your Google account and associate it securely with your Shopify store. Identity
  • Access is granted only after you explicitly authorize it through the Google OAuth consent screen.
  • The App can only access the files you select or create; it cannot view or modify any other files in your Google Drive.
  • Tokens and credentials are securely stored on the server side and used solely for the requested operations.

3.2 Use of Google User Data #

We use Google user data only to:

  • Read or write spreadsheet data necessary to synchronize prices and inventory with Shopify.
  • Identify your Google account for authentication (via openid, email, and profile).
  • Provide troubleshooting, support, and secure session handling.

We do not use or share Google user data for advertising or unrelated analytics.
Our use of Google data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. User Responsibilities #

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when connecting your accounts.
  • Use the App in compliance with applicable laws and the policies of Shopify and Google.
  • Refrain from attempting to gain unauthorized access, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service.
  • Avoid transmitting malicious code or data through the App.
Important: Misuse of OAuth credentials or unauthorized automation may result in suspension or permanent account revocation.

5. Termination #

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App if:

  • You violate these Terms or applicable law,
  • You misuse integrations with Shopify or Google,
  • Security or system integrity is at risk.

You may terminate use at any time by:

Upon termination, all associated OAuth tokens and related data will be deleted according to our retention policy.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties #

The App is provided “as is” and “as available.”
We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, data accuracy, or fitness for any specific purpose.

You acknowledge that integration with third-party services (Google, Shopify, etc.) may be affected by their respective outages or API changes.

7. Limitation of Liability #

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WP Price Updater (Weber & Partner GbR) shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages,
  • Data loss, corruption, or unauthorized access,
  • Interruptions or errors caused by third-party systems (e.g., Google Drive or Shopify).

Total liability for any claim shall not exceed the fees (if any) paid for the App within the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

8. Changes to These Terms #

We may update or modify these Terms as necessary for legal, technical, or operational reasons.
The latest version is always available at https://wp-dataanalytics.de/price_updater/termsofservice/.

If changes are material, we will notify users via our website or email.
Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
